Commodore A3070 Tape DriveThis was a QIC-24 tape that uses 150MB Tapes. The design and the production time let us understand that it was designed to be used with the A3000 series, mainly for the UX versions. On the other side, A2500UX were usually equipped with an internal Taravan tape with the same specs. A3000 Desktop couldn't contain anything but a couple of disks and eventually 2 floppy disks..... It was connected through a 25 pin built-in cable and had another 25 pin connector for daisy-chain or a terminator. It could result more difficult to connect the tape to the Amiga because WD33C93-04 proto was unable to properly manage the tape and several A3000 had the internal SCSI terminator soldered on the motherboard. You cannot do any configuration on that unit, a part from some SCSI setting. To access the switch you have to unscrew and open the case. Switch Description 1 SCSI ID Add 1
